For those of you unfamiliar with Charlotte’s “Queen Feast” or Restaurant week, you might want to mark your calendars. Over 100 restaurants in metro Charlotte from July 18-27th will offer 3 (or more) courses at dinner for $30 a person. Certain restaurants even offer a glass of wine or beer with your meal. It’s not only a great opportunity to get out and enjoy Charlotte restaurants, but it’s a great way to support local businesses.
For the newbies unfamiliar with the Queen’s Feast, we’ve collected a list of tips to make sure you can enjoy restaurant week to the fullest.
1. Do your research.
This is one of the busiest weeks for restaurants, and you want to make sure that you know what restaurants you want to attend. Check out http://www.charlotterestaurantweek.com/main.html for the full list of restaurants, as well as their location
2. Make reservations early.
Like I said, it will be an incredibly busy week. Use apps like OpenTable or call ahead to reserve your spot before you’re stuck eating at 10pm on a Tuesday.
3. Check out the wine/beer menu
Since you’re being offered an amazing deal on 3 courses, why not check out the wine/beer menu and splurge a little?
4. Group reservations need to be made ASAP.
5. Everyone likes going out with their friends, so why not get a group together? The bigger the group, the earlier you need to plan to reserve your spot.
I hope you all enjoy Charlotte restaurant week! Be sure to let us know where you’re heading. I know I will be checking out the new restaurants that are popping up, like Summit or Fahrenheit.
